Campaigning leads to college bus being saved

MONTHS of campaigning to save the link bus which helps students in Gorran get to college has paid off after Cornwall Council agreed to save the service for another academic year.
In January students were told they would have to walk nearly three miles along country lanes or the coastal path to Mevagissey to catch the bus to Truro College or Cornwall College St Austell, after the council revealed plans to axe the link bus.
This left many teens and their families concerned they would not be able to continue with their education as there are no public transport routes from Gorran Haven before 9.30am aside from the link bus…
