Historic port gets shipshape

AS THE holiday season begins to gain momentum staff at the busy Georgian port of Charlestown make use of the brief lull before the summer holidays to spruce up their fleet of Tall Ships as they prepare for another busy season of charters and filming commitments.

Port owners Square Sail do all of their own maintenance including mast repairs and other essential tasks.

The fleet of course are kept busy by filming commitments that have seen them appear in some of TV and Films most iconic productions including of course Poldark, Dr Who as well as Disney’s Three Musketeers and Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland.

The timeless look and feel of these great ships and the ambiance of one of the few working Georgian ports make this a must see stop for holiday visitors.
